Why "Crossroads," Kyle? What did you see in this name that was not in "Virtual Community"? I find it telling. One is a place people happen by, and the other a place where people live. The first is certainly not conducive to keeping people; the second is.
And to define another is to seek to control him....yet titles so clearly proclaim who each one of us is, at least to Kyle. Good thing my ego's not tied up in Kyle's perception of me. But I always was thick-skinned.
And my last point of order - once again, I petition for the return of Kyle Atlis. For those of you who don't know, he was banned for having a name too much like that of our gracious host, and the ability to do quite a good impression when he pleased. For this sense of humor and means of expression, he was cast away, as Kyle Altis made it clear he valued this type of expression much less than those made by more popular posters, despite the fact that this banning created much greater uniformity of opinion among his posters. All this from the man who claimed to seek variance and different points of view. The banning of Atlis took me away with it too; and it would be hardly meet for me to return in any form, without asking that Atlis be allowed to return as well.
